We are delighted to share another momentous occasion in our journey towards finding a cure for APS Type 1 and supporting those affected by this rare disease. Thanks to the generosity of our dedicated donors and supporters, The APS Type 1 Foundation is proud to announce that Amy Coan has joined us as Director of Community Relations.  The most important part of this Foundation is you, our community.  Without you, we couldn’t do the work we do.  We are here to serve you, and Amy will help us do that in a more sustained and holistic way.

Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Amy, who many of you met in San Francisco this summer at our Sixth International Symposium on APS Type 1. Amy brings 25 years of experience and passion working in the non-profit world in various roles including development, event management and community engagement. She has worked with the APS Type 1 Foundation for the past two years (helping with fundraising and event planning) and is excited to continue to build and maintain relationships with the APS Type 1 community. Amy looks forward to meeting each and every member of the community and discussing how the Foundation can best support you. Together we can accomplish so much!

Virtual Coffee with Amy

Amy’s first initiative is to reach out to our community and get to know you, to find out how we can better serve you, and to find ways to collaborate. Please look out for an email from Amy in the coming weeks and months. We encourage to reach out to Amy directly and schedule a virtual coffee chat with her. We want to hear and learn from you.
