Dear Friends,
On behalf of the entire APS Type 1 Foundation, we want to extend our deepest gratitude for your incredible generosity on Giving Tuesday. Because of you, we surpassed our goal and raised an amazing $50,000!
This success was made possible by:
- A remarkably generous $30,000 donation.
- $7,000 in vital corporate matching funds.
- Numerous community donations that, together, demonstrated the strength of our dedicated network of families and friends.
Every single dollar raised directly contributes to our mission. This funding is critical for:
- Supporting our patient symposia, bringing essential education and connection to those affected by APS Type 1.
- Offering crucial research grants, driving forward the search for better treatments and a cure.
- Communicating the latest news about treatments and support, through our website and social media channels.
The APS Type 1 Foundation strives for continued growth to allow us to serve the needs of our community. As the year comes to a close, please consider making a tax-deductible year-end gift HERE to help us sustain this momentum.
Thank you for standing with us and helping to make a tangible difference in the lives of the APS Type 1 community.
With sincere appreciation,
The APS Type 1 Foundation Team
Giving Tuesday is an opportunity to support causes that matter. The APS Type 1 Foundation is grateful that you have chosen us! Your generosity will help make it possible to accomplish critical objectives in 2026. We’re not just asking for donations – we’re asking for your partnership in creating a world where APS Type 1 is no longer a barrier to a full and vibrant life.
What Your Donation Can Do
Every dollar you donate is a step towards achieving our critical objectives for the upcoming year. Here’s a glimpse into what your generosity can help us accomplish in 2026:
- Hosting a Symposium: In July, we brought together dozens of APS Type 1 families, physicians, scientists, and other experts at our 6th International Symposium on APS Type 1. This meeting was a wonderful platform for sharing discoveries, learning the latest updates from doctors and researchers, and strengthening our community. We will soon begin planning our 2027 Symposium, and plan to bring even more families together and have many more important updates to share.
- Building Advocacy Initiatives: Your support will help us advocate for state and federal policies that are critical for our patients and families.
- Increasing Awareness: You will help us educate the public and shorten the time to diagnosis by publishing our registry data.
- Expanding Our Global Research Network: We’re committed to building our global research network and funding critical research on APS Type 1.
- Supporting Patients and Families: Your generosity will enable us to support patients and families as they navigate the challenges of living and thriving with a chronic illness.
Every Donation Counts
No matter the size, your donation can make a huge difference. It’s not just about the money – it’s about the message. Your donation says you believe in the work we’re doing and you stand with those affected by APS Type 1.
