The Autoimmune Registry runs a Clinical Trial Webinar Series and we have been selected to prepare a presentation on the history of the Foundation, and the work we have done to support and facilitate clinical trials, the natural history study at the NIH and its clinical trial, and to provide a brief update on our APS Type 1 (APECED) Registry experience.
The Clinical Trials Webinar Series is designed to educate patients about various aspects of clinical trials and to encourage participation. Each month, the Autoimmune Registry focuses on a different autoimmune disease and presents information on a specific trial as a case study or example to showcase what a trial entails, its purpose, and/or how the process works. Their goal is to promote education and awareness so that patients can become more familiar with clinical trials and more comfortable with the idea of participating.
