Feb 13 - 28
Monday, February 13, 2023 - Tuesday, February 28, 2023 Online

Please join us in the first annual “Walk 1000 miles for APS Type 1” virtual trek! The goal of this two week event is to raise awareness and fundraise for APS Type 1 research and education in association with Rare Disease Day on February 28th. This year we are also honoring the memory of James Read, who lived valiantly with APS Type 1 for his 20 years with us. We invite anyone and everyone to run, walk, bike, swim, lift weights…. any activity can be logged and will be converted into virtual miles walked. There is no limit to the number of people that can share in the fun, so recruit some friends to join too! You can participate from anywhere since it is virtual, and each day you will receive an email from the online race platform reminding you to log your activities. The trek will begin on Monday, February 13th at Wrigley Field in Chicago and finish in Washington DC with some fun stops along the way. All miles logged by participants will be added together so we can cross the finish line together. We are grateful for your support and participation in building our community.
